How do you set-up out-of-office to reply to ALL emails, not just 1

K

Kathy

I am going on a 3-month leave of absence and want to set up my Outlook
out-of-office to reply to each and every message received and not just the
first one that an individual sends. If someone writes me in Month 1 and
receives out-of-office, they will go to my specified back-up for assistance.
If the same person sends a second message in Month 2 and receives no reply,
they may easily forget I am out and make an assumption about my
non-responsiveness. Suggestions?

You'll need to log into the mailbox now and again to reset it. Is the
assistant getting the messages forwarded?

Otherwise, you would need to use a server side rule to reply and hope you
don't get hooked into an autoreply war - where each account autoreplies to
the autoreplies to the autoreply... its ugly when the original messages are
included and usually results in a full mailbox.
