When I try to download info from a newsgroup in Outlook Express my computer
slows way down. Why?
The slow down is most likely being caused by the connection through your ISP, or
the news server you're connecting to.
I get my newsgroups through NewsGuy, and have no problem downloading from the
"microsoft.*" groups, or any other newsgroup.
NewsGuy has a 2-day freebie account, and as a quick test you could setup an
account & test your newsgroup downloads from their news servers. If your speed
are still slow, it's probably your ISP at that point.
