Hi
I don't believe you can do this within a cell
If you want to create a new line within a cell, press Alt + Enter
Otherwise , use the space bar to create your Tab distance

Dastik,
I'm hoping I understand what you are trying to do. If you have text in
a cell and simply want to indent the text within the cell, then you can
do so by going to Format>Cells and clicking the Alignment Tab.
There to the immediate right of the horizontal alignment drop down is
the indent spinner control. See if that does what you want. Also, this
same feature is normally available on the format tool bar as two icons
which look like outlined text, one for decrease indent and one for
increase indent.

I think what you are trying to do is "indent' your text in a cell. If
this correct, in excel menu you should see an icon named "Increase
Indent". This is part of your Format tool bar.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

You mean indent text in a cell?

There is a standard button for that in the format bar (the button with a
small arrow pushing a paragraph to the right).
