How do you transition a slide line by line by click of a mouse

I know how to transition slides but I am unable to set the line transition by
clicking the mouse. In otherwords, everything on the slide transitions in all
at once. Thanks in advance.

Use the animations for this, not transitions.

Transitions are for the slide, animations are for the stuff *on* the slide.

Holler back if you need more info, but be sure to mention which version of
PPT you're using.
