How do you turn OFF offline mode in Ms Outlook 2002?

How do you get a networked version of Outlook to come back-on-line.
Shutting down, disconnecting lan cable, reconfiguring profile -
Still wants to remain in Offline mode.
What gives? Any suggestions? thank you

What happens when you uncheck File>Work Offline?
