how do you verify credentials

R

roger

My calendar is "locked up" saying that I have to verify my credentials to see
my own calendar and or read e mail. I have no idea where that came from or
what is means, or how I verify my credentials. What do I do?

outlook live? hotmail? regardless, log into the web site (www.hotmail.com)
to update it. I was not a happy camper when it locked me out earlier this
morning - at the very least it could wait to do it until the email notice
was downloaded or the popup alert could explain what happened or suggest you
try logging in online. (Not that this should even be necessary for paid
accounts).

The alert I got:
---------------------------
Microsoft Office Outlook Connector
---------------------------
Mail: [address]

The email message that is sent *after* it's locked out contains the
following, which most people probably won't see because they wouldn't think
of logging in online.
To verify that your account is not being used by an automated program, go to
http://www.hotmail.com and sign in as usual. You'll see a picture that
contains letters and numbers. Type those letters and numbers to complete the
verification, and you can then use your MSN Hotmail account.
