In this example I am using vertical columns. Select the last column in the
area which would normally contain a name. By default I believe Visio will
place the word Function if the text is not changed. Select this area when
done properly you should see green handles for the shape. Place the mouse
point over one of the green handles; holding down the mouse button should
allow you to resize the column manually. Notice you will also get a line with
arrowheads on both ends and a comment box stating Resize Shape.
