How does a PowerPoint slide show start from double clicking on it.

I could really use some assistance with starting a PowerPoint Presentation
from / by double-clicking on the '(filename).ppt' file icon, so that I can
send an attachment in an email message that would automatically start... when
double-clicked on, by the recipient. Can anyone help with this facet of
the application?

Rename the file with a .PPS extension or open the PPT file and do a
File|Save As and choose PowerPoint Show *.PPS from the "as type" dropdown
list.
