How does project Pro Client 2002 connects to Project Server 2002

Hi does any one know how does Client connects to project
server ? I am intrsted to know the networking protocols
and port that are used

Project Pro connects to server through IIS either via Project Data Service (PDS) or Internet Server Application Programming Interface (ISAPI). For more detail, take a look at Microsoft’s online book series for Project Server

In addition to what Sean had to say Project Pro also connects to the
database portion of the "server" using ODBC via port 1433 for it's
access to the actual data that makes up the project.

As Sean pointed out it accesses Project Server using HTTP to the PDS
but then also connects directly to the databse using ODBC.
