How edit text on toolbar button?

Jack

I created a new macro for the Normal template in Word 97. Then I
right-clicked on the toolbar, went to Customize/Commands/Macros and dragged
the macro to the toolbar as button. However, the name (text) is way too
long for a practical button -- how do I edit the button and give the button
just a few initials?

I wish it were that simple --

A right click on the toolbar, select customize, gets you the Customize
window with 3 tabs: (1)Toolbars, (2)Commands, and (3)Options. None of the
tabs lead you to a point where you can rename a button as far as I can
see -- am I missing something?

Hi Jack,

While you have Tools=>Customize=>Commands
active on the scren you can choose any icon
or menu command already in the set and
right click on it to customize the text, icon,
etc.
