how good is file management in project server

I have a question from a client that is trying to decide between using
sharepoint and project server for their projects. Does anybody know
how file management or documentation is within project server? Is it
possible to categorize documents within a workspace or a project?

This really is not an either or question. When you deploy Project Server,
you must deploy SharePoint Services, therefore, Project Server provides all
of the functionality available through SharePoint. For more sophisticated
document management capabilities, you can add Office SharePoint Server to
the mix for an additional license cost.
