How 'group' change color label assoc with bday and stop reminder?

I entered all our school's students in Outlook. I also typed in their
birthdays within each of their contact information. When it put their
birthdays to the Calendar it automatically set a 'reminder' for every single
student. Can I 'group' turn off the reminders for all students, or do I have
to go in and out of each student and turn this off? Also, I want all their
birthdays to be the color purple that has the 'birthday' label associated
with it. Can I 'group' change all their birthdays to change the label color
from clear (default) to purple?

Thanks.

1. you would need to turn them off - either 1 at a time or you a group by
view (grouping by that field) and drag to the off group. However, unless the
items are in your default calendar, the reminders won’t fire.

2. Which version of outlook? You can create an automatic formatting rule in
a custom view to highlight the birthday category in older versions but
outlook 2007 uses color categories - so set that category as purple.
