How Many Installs do you get with 2007

I'm looking at purchasing Office Standard 2007 to install on 3 home
computers. I know that in the past Office has allowed activation on up to 5
pc's. Is this still the case or is it less?
Thanks!

Purchase Office Home and Student. You'll get three licences for this
version, exactly what you need.

Volume Licencing only has five installs. Retail licensing allows (usually)
one main install and one portable device.
Home and Student edition allows for three installs in the same location BUT
does not include Outlook.

It was never the case that activation/installation was allowed on 5 PC's,
unless you had a volume License
Only Home & Student is licensed for 3 home PC's, & that doesnt include
Outlook
Other Office retail versions are licensed for 1 desktop & 1 Laptop

RH computer woes

Okay--you have helped me by answering the question presented here, kinda. I
downloaded the 2007 Office Ultimate onto my labtop (which is a rental), now I
would like to return it. I love the software, and want to use it on my new
computer when I get one. I did order the backup software, but don't want to
return this computer with the software still on it if that will interfere
with me using the software later. Hoping for an answer :) Thanks in
advance!
