How many techs does Microsoft actually have answering forum questi

I think that Bill Gates should give up a few million of his billions of
dollars and hire enough techs to actually answer questions. That would be
novel, wouldn't it?

Meanwhile, my business is suffering because I can't things to actually work
as advertised. Very frustrating.

Hi Matt -

I agree a few dollars hiring some tech support folks for ALL these
communities forums would be a good thing, not just the Groove ones.

How to pay for it, though? A few million off the marketing budget wouldn't
be noticed too much :)

I was a little more concerned about Groove development since the acquisition, as an independent company I think they had a roadmap
and were continually working on adding new features and fixing problems with the software - is at least some of the old development
team still in place and what direction is Groove going ?

Anyone here happen to know?

I am currently using it with three people in my company and that could easily expand to eight or ten if we thought it's a good
platform.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric -

Some folks left, some folks joined. There are a great deal more people
within Microsoft interested in Groove than there was when it was independent.

There's a roadmap, and it is being followed, though like a lot of people,
I'm frustrated at the pace of development. I've got a long list of
suggestions and I want them all next week!

Some of us here are old-timers, dating back to pre-beta (circa 2001); Mark
Smith, Ashok H and myself, to name a few. We were (and still are) very much
'gung-ho' about Groove and continue to support its user-base via forums and
public spaces (see below for space invitations).

Now that MSFT has acquired Groove, it is expected (not just by myself but
the industry) that they will pour in the dough to bake a bigger cake (sorry,
it's lunch time and I am quite hungry). For starters, how about bestowing
Groove MVP status to those who deserve it? It won't cost a cookie.. (there I
go again, I am hungry).
