How many times can I install MS Office Student 2007?

I have laptop for school and a desktop at my house.

I read a review and saw that it said you are allowed TWO installations of MS
Office 2007, but that was the review for Microsoft Office 2007 STANDARD. Is
it the same for the Student Version? Am I allowed two installations on
separate computers for this version as well?

Also, the laptop isn't technically mine, it is my university's. I have to
give it up at the end of the year (April) but will get it back at the start
of next year (September) after they "wipe it clean" for the beginning of my
next year of studies. Will I be able to install it on the same laptop again?
What if I don't get the exact same laptop for next year, is there anything I
can do so that I have MS Office 2007 throughout university while only
purchasing MS Office 2007 ONCE?

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Hi 38,

MS Office Home and Student edition (Word, Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint) allows 3 installations for a single household. The other
retail editions, such as MS Office 2007 Standard Edition (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) allow 2 installations for one person.

You may want to check with your school bookstore or admin to see what provisions they have for licensed Office 2007 products as
well. Schools often have low priced items for students.

If you have an issue activating after moving a MS Office retail product to another computer you can use the telephone activation
method).
