How retrieve answers to OLD posts (i.e. 1/29/2006)?

I saved the emails I received that answered questions. I didn't always print
them out...thus the problem. Is there a way to retrieve answers to old posts
of mine?

Thank you.

First question: How do I find that info myself!!??
Second question: I noticed in the old post from 1/29/2006 that the email
address referenced was an old one. I cannot find this post on the link you
gave me, so it must be under something else since I was using a different
email address back then (I'm assuming). So, would my user name (tjsmags) be
different, too, since it's another email address? If so, how do I retrieve
those old posts using my old email address ([email protected])?

Use the Google Groups advanced search page
(http://groups.google.com/advanced_search). Plug in your old address in the
Author box, set the dates as desired, and possibly a word or two from the
subject line of the post if you know it.

You may or may not find your post. About a year ago, Google purged a large
quantity of old posts, which did irreparable damage to the newsgroup community
because no one else was archiving them.
