How Secure is Password Protection in MSWord

How secure is the password protection used in Microsoft Word 2002? If I
create a document with a list of passwords I use for banking, email, etc.
and password protect the file, is that file reasonably secure? Thanks,
Mack

Hi Mack,

Ultimately, any file is vulnerable if available to a sufficiently sustained
attack. Therefore, you should consider a password protection as no more than
aprotection against casual snooping.

Of far more importance is keeping the file secure - in other words keeping
your PC secure so that nobody can gain unauthorised access either in person
or remotely. This however is not a Word issue.
