How should I set up my resources that fill multiple roles at diff.

I am using ms project pro and web server. I want to start a resource pool. I
have human resources that fill multiple roles and have different costs, but I
do not want to set up generic names. For example I have Joe Smith the can
fill the role of software engineer at a cost of x dollars and he can also
work as a project lead at a cost y dollars. Has anybody else had this problem
or see a solution.

After you have created a resource, double click on the Resource Name and
click the Costs tab. Enter each rate for the resource on Cost Rate Tables A
through E and click OK. Microsoft Project and Project Server can support up
to five cost rates for each resource.

To select the cost rate used for each task assignment, first assign your
resources to tasks in the project. After you have done so, apply the Task
Usage view. Right click on the Work column and temporarily insert the Cost
Rate Table column. Using this column, set the Cost Rate Table value for any
resource assignment whose cost rate is not the default Cost Rate Table A
rate. Hope this helps.
