No need to add the folder, just use File->Open.

|| Okay, I archived hundreds of messages from outlook, but now, I have
|| NO idea how to read the archived messages.
|| Can someone, PLEASE, tell he how to read the archived messages?
| Howdy,
| Does your archive folder display in the Folder list?
| If so, just open it, and your messages should be visible
| there.
| If not, it only means that the archive folder must be added.
| The details depend on the version of Outlook you are
| running.
| In OL2002, click on File | Data File Management | Add. Then
| browse to your archive.
| In OL2000, I believe that you must click Tools | Services to
| add the archive there.
| Either way, once you manage to get the Archive listed in
| your folder display, you should be hummin'.

| HTH,
