how to access column 8 in my Range

Hi,

I want to place "1" in column 8 in every row in my range named
"LegendList". How do I do this?

I tried:

LegendList(, 8) = "1"

and I tried

With LegendList
.Cells(, 8) = "1"
end with

Neither works...
Help...please

try this to put the number 1 in each cell

Sub oneinrange()
Range("legendlist") = 1
End Sub

or 8 columns over
Sub oneinrange()
Range("legendlist").Offset(, 8) = 1
End Sub
