Hi
not sure this will help but try the following (re-registering Excel):
1. Close Excel first and
2. On the Windows Taskbar
2.1 Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
2.2 Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.

You search "ShellNew" in the registry file.

MS gives away a program called TweakUI that you can use to add this kind of
stuff--easier/safer than going through the registry.

But the version you need will depend on the version of windows you're using.
You'll have to search the MS Site to find the correct version.

(Essentially you drag a template to a window within TweakUI.)

There's another program xSetup (available at http://www.xteq.com) that can do
this and lots more.

(But I'm kind of surprised that reregistering excel didn't help. I'd give that
one more shot.)

everithing is working, without any problem.
