How to add tree menu with links

I am trying to add a tree menu that allows the user to select from an
accordian type drop down list. (i.e. rollover button that produces drop down
choices). I am trying to do this through inserting a drop down list but
having no luck.

Help please

How do i get this to work? every script that it tells me to put into the
html actually shows up on the normal page....
