there was a thread a while back and i designed a spreadssheet to figur
out the # of weeks since last occurance of each number, and the tota
number of occurances of each number in the last N weeks.

Hi!
The short answer to your question is yes, you can use
Excel to create statistical data for a lottery. Just what
type of analysis you want to pursue is entirely up to you.
I played around with this for a while just for the
exercise. I don't even play the lottery! All the formulas
were pretty basic stuff. After all is said and done, will
this help you pick winning numbers? Probably not! Also,
there are newsgroups dedicated to this subject.
