how to auto setup the document path on docs?

when saving a document or spreadsheet how can i get the path to auto insert
at bottom of page. i used to know the macro.

i am using office 2000 on windows xp.

What version of Excel are you using? If Excel 2002 or 2003 then you
don't need a macro anymore. Go to File/Page Setup, select
Header/Footer and in the Custom Header or Custom Footer you'll find
&[Path]&[File]. The icon looks like a folder.

I can create a macro for you if you are using an earlier version so
post back if you need it.
