How to auto start Pwr PT & keep control of slide transition

I want a Power Point presentation to automatically start when put in the
computer, yet still have manual control over the slide transitions and "next
on click" functions. Is this Possible?

Click File > Save As.
Under save as type, select PowerPoint Show (.pps).
This allows you to open the slide show immediately when opening the file.
