How to automatically show title of slides in footer

I use Powerpoint XP. I would like the main title on the title slide of the
powerpoint show to automatically appear in the footer on each subsequent
slide.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Place the title text in the footer of your slide master
(not your title master). Go to "View > Master > Slide
Master".
