how to automatically update "subject" by clicking and draging item

Just upgraded to Outlook 2003. Previously, I was able to automatically update
the "subject" field, when cliking/dragging and dropping an item into a group.
Now I can't do this anymore.

That feature is broken in OL2003. It works for other fields, but no longer
for Subject.
