Um, and your version of Windows is WHAT?

Tried yet going into the mouse applet in Control panel to disable the
"Snap to default" option?

Are you using a laptop and inadvertently tapping the touchpad as you type?

Yeah, that be a real nuisance. Didn't think about the laptop problem.
I hate using my aunt's laptop because my palms don't even have to be
touching the pad to make the mouse move (and I don't want to change
sensitivity from however she set it). Luckily, her laptop has a button
atop the touchpad that disables it rather than me changing her settings.
I have a Thinkpad that my employer wants me to use off-hours for
monitoring our test jobs running in the alpha lab and I have no problem
with its touchpad.
