How to call GpUpdate.exe using a hyperlink in a email template.

Trying the following <file://c:\windows\system32\gpupdate.exe /force /boot>
The problem is that I need to be able to pass the switches for the command,
but it keeps changing the "/" to a "\". Any help would be appreciated.
