The safest method is to do as follows:
1. Save the project as an .mpp file on a network share
2. Ask your administrator to delete the project from the Project Server
database but not to delete the SharePoint subweb for the project
3. Import the project back into the Project Server database using the
Import wizard
4. Reconnect the Sharepoint subwebs for Documents and Issues to this
project
