Hi.
I have another question.
How can I change the background color in 1note?
By "background" i mean the groud back of the pages in 1note.
Thanx in advance

Bring up the Page Set up task pane (File--> Page Setup). The last two
entries are used to set the page color. The first one sets the header color
and the second one sets the page color. :)

Kathy thanks for your reply but this is not what i mean.
I think i was not clear.
I would like to change the very background color, not the color of the page.

I'm still not clear on what you want but it sounds like what you'd have to
do is change your Windows color scheme. Otherwise you won't be able to do
it.

In addition to the solution Kathy posted, you can also change the color of
the section (which then creates the default color for new pages).

Format | Section Color.

Does that do what you want? Otherwise, the options in Control Panel |
Display | Appearance Tab control the color and look of the standard parts of
OneNote's interface shared with the rest of Windows.

yes thats the solution thanx.
Mr. Ben,
I have mentioned in a message below:
the type text and lines do not align in 1 note.
How can I make microsoft 1note developers aware of this fact
so that they can correct the problem for next version?
If you like you can test the problem as follows:
open a page with lines.
then go to format/list
and make the "between list items" 10 pt.
then start to type text on the lines.
u will see that after 20-30 lines, to typed text and the
lines do not align. Weird ha?
I hope this can be corrected.
Regards.

The lines were never really intended to align with typed text - the lines
are there to assist people using digital ink to write more cleanly and
clearly. It's possible that the developers will create a version of the
stationery with lines that correspond more readily to typed text, but I
don't think it's very high on their priority list.

The fact: The lines do not align with typed text.
The solution: Make the lines match the typed text

As Ben said, the intent was never to "align" with text but to provide a
means for Tablet PC users to "stay within the lines" while inking. Your
first fact is correct, they don't align with type text. What do you do
with someone typing with 8 point type versus someone who types with 32
point? Don't you need some sort of programming to allow the extra height of
the letters? How do you differentiate for the reader between lines under
typed text and underlined words?

Well yes, then let the inote developers programme it =)
At least the standard font size is 12 and style is "time new roman". So
1note developers could
align the typed text and the lines for this standard font and size type.
Furthermore, as you mention, it should be programmable to let the "typed
text - line alignment"
to change with respect to the change in font size and style.
The uderlined can be differentiate with a bolder underline than the line
itself.
After all, everything has a solution right?
To be frank, I am dissapointed that the typed text and lines do not match.
How can a programmer overlook this simple fact?
Well one may argue that 1note is intended for handwriters and tablet pcs
but still, this fact should have been thought already.
Anyways, I hope developers read this message and correct the issue for the
next version.

You're one of the very few I've seen ask for lines. Most people don't use
lines when typing. I don't even use the lines on a Tablet PC. Have
you ever received a typed letter, email or regular mail, with each line on
the page? Ever seen that on a printed page anywhere? A web site?

Understood - but again, it really isn't a bug or something that was
overlooked. Typing on the lines is not something that most people have
asked for - in fact when I type my notes I turn the lines off because I
find them distracting.

Perhaps they can create an additional stationery that will add that
capability, but I suspect it's pretty low priority on their list of
features. There are a lot of other things I'd rather see them focus on
for the time being. :)
