how to change the below data

i entered my dates as in this format -
19/08/1984,(DD/mm/yyyy)
20/04/1984
10/05/1985
04/08/1985
21/10/1983
23/03/1984
1/01/1986
14/11/1985,

I need it in DD-mmm-yyyy like 19-Aug-1986,20-Apr-1984,..

Please help me,

Right Click
Select Format
Custom format
Enter dd-mm-yyy
OK

( if it doesn't work check if what you see are real dates or text
looking like dates)

If you want to change the display format in cells, the command is Format/
Cells...
