How to change the default working time

Hi, i'm a newbie to ms project, hope someone can help me in my problem...

In my case the default working hours span from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM but the default working time in ms project starts at 8:00 AM. I changed the default working time from Tools --> Options --> Calendar, but that didn't made an effect on the standard calendar. Also i do not want to manually set the working time of all the working days in the year turning them to have nondefault working time.... what is the best solution to this problem.... plz help.

There is no solution to your problem I'm afraid. The "default" hours of
8:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00 are hard coded into Project and cannot be
changed. You can create a calendar to be your standard project calendar
using any hours you wish but anything other than the above will be
"non-default working time" and there's nothing you can do about it I'm
afraid. You don't have to go and manually change every day one at a time
however. Select the column headings for the week on the Change Working Time
calendar screen and change the hours - it will make the change effective for
all days in perpetuity so it's really just a couple of mouse clicks to set
up the calendar you need.

BTW, the Tools Options Calendar page doesn't change the calendars at all,
contrary to what you might think from what it's named. The default start
and finish times are not calendar times - they're the times Project supplies
when you type a date into a date/time field such as a constraint date but
don't type the time part of the field.
