How to check if a cell contains text andreturn the info next to that cell?

Hello,

I need to check if a cell contains parts of 4 different text strings and return the info of the cell next to it.

I have tried using vlookup, but somehow cannot get it to work.

Any tips

Hard to tell without more information - I can't tell whether you mean
that the cell has to contain all four partial strings, any of four
partial strings, whether there's any particular order that the partial
strings must fall in, etc.

Can you give a specific example?
