How to close Administrative Projects

Hello Group.

In my organization we will start to use the administrative project
from January the 1st. these projects works perfectly, but we don´t
know how we can close these projects.


Do you now how?

I personally recommend that my clients use administrative projects for a
fairly short and pre-determined amount of time, such as 60 working days,
which is about 3 months on the calendar. This allows you to capture a
quarter of nonproject work information.

As you come to the end of the life of this project, save it off as an .mpp
file and ask your Project Server administrator to delete it from the
database. Then create a new administrative plan for another 60 days, save
it in the Project Server database, and publish it. You can examine the .mpp
file for trends, unexpected values, and to determine the actual amount of
time that your people spent on nonproject-related activity. This can help
you forecast your team members' real availability for project work, and will
be useful in setting the Units value each time you assign resources to
