How to COMPLETELY quit / close OL 2007 in Vista?

P

Peter Z.

I need a way to completely close OL. I currently use Task Manager to shut
downt he process.

If I use the red "X" to close, or File Exit fails to completely shut down
the program, as the outlook.exe process continues to run.

This is a problem for me as my e-mail server sends my messages to my
Blackberry if OL is not running. I want to be able to shut down OL but leave
my PC running if I have to be away from my office for an hour or two, so that
I get my messages on the BB during that time.

Any suggestions besides what I'm currently doing?

You'd be served best by finding out why Outlook doesn't close. Start here:

It could very well be your Blackberry software causing the problem.
Nonetheless, a tool like this might be handy:
