In one of the client requirement, the Out Look should send only compressed
attachments. It should decompress after receiving. Any Plug-in/features to do
so?
Your "client" has no control over the recipient's e-mail agent so
automatic decompression is not an option that can be enforced by your
client upon the recipient. Also, creating a self-extracting file means
it is an executable file and many e-mail programs will block these since
that is how viruses spread through e-mails. Users have become
accustomed to deleting e-mails with attached executables because of the
threat of infection. Send a compressed archive file but not an
executable self-extracting .exe archive file.
For the e-mail program that you client does get to control on his end,
have him look into add-ons, like bxAutoZip. Of course, since he is a
client then it's a good bet that he wants this function within the
environment of a company workplace. In that case, he will likely have
to pay to use the add-ons. Many allow free personal use but not free
business use.
