how to connect excel 2007 from windows 2000

I wish to fetch excel 2007 data, i am making the connection using
provider ace.12.0, the problem id windows 2000 is not supporting the
patch availabe by microsoft i.e.AccessDatabaseEngine.exe. plz can
anyone tell me how can i connect.
