How to control xp outlook 2003 contacts table grid line color?

In Outlook 2003 on Windows 2K the Outlook table view yielded crisp black
lines both onscreen and on print. In XP it fades to light gray; on print it
is invisible. Outlook offers no control option that I can find in "customize
this view". Is there another?
