how to convert a Bitmap image to JPEG

I have selected to save a section of a jpeg image, and it has beem saved as a
bitmap. How do I then resave this as a JPEG immage ?

Are you getting the image from the Web?
Empty your cache, in IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files.

Open the saved file in a image editor and then resave as a *.jpg file.
