How to convert Powerpoint 2000 to 2003 Professional

I'm having problems even opening a PPT 2000 document from one machine into
PPT 2003 Professional at home. Shouldn't this be possible?

If you can't open a ppt file created in PowerPoint 2000 when opening with 2003,
Click Help > Check for Updates. Try updating to the latest service pack and
see if it works.
