If you have Word2003 (and maybe the previous version) use CTRL+SHIFT and the
mouse to copy disconnected text.

Using Word 2000 (9.0.2720). Those Ctrl tips didn't work. I guess its too old.In Word 2002 and 2003, you can select noncontiguous text by selecting
the first line, then pressing Ctrl while you select the others.

That's right. The ability to select multiple ranges simultaneously was
introduced in Word 2002.
