How to copy .png image?

How do I copy a .png image from a document into Word 2007 so that it will
print? I see the location of the image in Word but nothing appears.

Make sure you're not suppressing images. In the Print dialog, click Options.
In the Display tab, make sure that Print drawings created in Word (which
doesn't just cover drawings) is enabled.

The picture does not show in Print Preview mode. I can see the borders of the
image when I click where the image should be.

Another feature that would cause the picture to display only as a border
would be the picture placeholders setting (Word Options - Advanced - Show
document content section, Show Picture placeholders). However, this would
not affect the view in Print Preview nor printing.

To try to rule out a settings issue, if you start Word in safe mode (hold
down Ctrl as Word is loading, click Yes to starting in safe mode), does the
picture now display in print preview (and print)?

I started in Safe Mode. The image does not appear in print preview or print.
I am and always have been able to re-size the border by clicking with the
mouse and dragging it. I can also delete it by pushing the delete key.

What about other types of images? Do they print? Is it only .png files that
aren't printing?

Hi Tom,

How are you inserting the picture (Insert=>Picture or Home=>Clipboard=>Paste Special)? Using Insert=>Picture does this occur with
any PNG graphic or only certain ones or ones from a certain source, such as a camera?

If you work in Print Layout view do you get the same result?
