How to copy Publisher to my new PC without the CD's

Blair

I had Microsoft Office 97 including Publisher 98 installed on my Win 98 PC
and when I bought a laptop I downloaded Office & publisher to the laptop.
Later I replaced my 98PC with a desktop PC XP and gave my 98 PC to an
organisation who sends them to third World Countries. Unfortunately I sent
the CDs for Office and for some reason didn't send the publisher CD
So I am left with the situation where I have the CD for publisher but can't
download it because it requires the Office CD first.
Is there any way I can copy the installation on my desktop?

No - besides, there are enough new features in Pub 2003 to justify the
expense.

I have the same set of disks, my Publisher 98 never asked for the Office disks.
Have you tried right-clicking the CD, explore, and double clicking the setup
file.

A thousand thanks to you Mary- it worked a treat and now have Publisher
installed.
Kind regards

Glad to help, Blair. Publisher 98 is the worse of the lot, but it works, that is
the main thing. Thanks for posting back, it is appreciated.
