Hi All,
I need to create a presentation with the following restrictions:

• Graphs should take the data from the existing table within ppt.

• Each page of the PPT should contain both the table and its
respective Graph .

• Changes made to the table should reflect in the respective graph.

Any help is helping me resolve this issue is highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi All,
I need to create a presentation with the following restrictions:

• Graphs should take the data from the existing table within ppt.

• Each page of the PPT should contain both the table and its
respective Graph .

• Changes made to the table should reflect in the respective graph.

Start by mentioning which version of PPT you use (or which versions you must support).

It'd also be good to know whether you write code or have a budget for getting custom code written for
you.

In PPT 2003 and previous (or even 2007/2010 if you force it to use MSGraph charts) you can include a data
table along with the graph itself. When you activate the chart and change the underlying data, the chart
and the attached data table change. That might be an inexpensive solution, though not exactly what
you're asking for.

You might also be able to make this fly by doing something like this:

Create your data table in Excel
Create a chart from the data table in Excel
Copy/PasteSpecial/Link the data table and the chart (two separate operations, two separate objects
result) into PPT.

Now you can doubleclick the data table to update it in Excel. The chart should also update as a result.
