I am trying to figure out how to creat a postcard using microsoft word 2000?

Control the things you can and Don't Worry about the things you can't
control.

Use Tools, Envelopes and Labels, select Labels and then choose one of the
several Postcard Labels and press Add to Document. You should now have a
page of blank postcards.
