How to create a PowerPoint slideshow compatible with TV CD?

I created a slideshow and burned a CD using PowerPoint. The CD works great
on my computer but will not play on my TV / DVD player system. Should I be
able view the slideshow on my TV?

You can't run the slide show on a dvd player.
You will need to convert it as a video format first.
