How to create a visio page template?

I created a visio template for design of business process. Each process
initially has two pages, a foreground and a background. Trough the building
of the flowchart I need then to insert new pages with specific format and
shapes inside. Is it possible to insert template pages into an existent
template drawing?

Hi Samuel,

There isn't really a "merge" document feature in Visio.

There IS a "Copy Drawing" option on the Edit menu, which will copy
everything on a page, but this might be a bit laborious for you. Also, if
your page-to-insert has any background pages, these won't come along with
the copy.

Visio supports automation, so it is possible to write code that could do
this.

The guys over at Sandrila have some utilities that might help you:

Two features in their Super Utilities do this:
-- Copy page to another document
-- Add n new pages

Paul Herber maintains the program, and is active in this forum, so maybe he
can elaborate.

Hope this helps,

Hi Samuel,
As Chris said (thanks Chris) our copy page utility can copy the
current active page into another open document.
Also, the add n new pages can add as many new pages to a drawing as
you need without doing each one individually.
