How to create form based on Access table stored as a SharePoint Li

I have an Access database where the tables are stored on SharePoint as lists.
I am trying to build forms that will both import and export data to these
tables. I am not a farm administrator on the SharePoint site, so I am unable
to create a connection library at the root for the lists and am searching for
a workaround. When I attempt to link to the database itself, InfoPath does
not recognize the tables. When I save a connection library to the site where
the lists are located, InfoPath tells me there is no file with the
appropriate settings.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Are you trying to connect InfoPath to the database or to the SharePoint
list?

Are you using InfoPath forms service? Or is this an InfoPath client only
solution?

I have tried connecting both ways. I must admit that, while I am an
intermediate to experienced user of Access and SharePoint, I have very little
experience with InfoPath. I need a solution where the data from the forms
can query and populate data in the tables (and thereby a SharePoint
dashboard) and I need to be able to pull reports on the data.

I believe this is a client only solution, but I'm not sure what InfoPath
forms service is.

Thanks

Hi,

Take a look at following reference links for more on dataconnections
and their interaction with InfoPath forms:
