how to delete a page/lose invisible characters?

Loren

Hi,

I've set up a landscape A4 document (297mm x 210mm). I've
set the page margins as 10mm all round. If I insert a
table onto the blank page and make the height 190mm (210 -
20) a new blank page is created.

If I size the table back down to 184mm height, the second
page disappears. So it seems like something is
overlapping, but as far as I can see there's nothing
there, I haven't put any text or anything in the document
yet, yet something invisible keeps generating an extra
page.

How can I get rid of the extra page? I am busy completing
an assignment for a course so I need to figure out why
this is not working, my tutor has asked me to get of the
extra blank page - any help or an explanation would be
greatly appreciated :)

Hi Loren,

Click on the Show/Hide button ¶ and then select the ¶ that follows the table
and from the Format menu, select Font and then format it as Hidden. Then
click on the Show/Hide button ¶ again to hide the paragraph marks. Also
make sure that under Tools>Options>View, the Hidden text item is not
checked.

Please respond to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be
interested.

Hope this helps
